What is the best way to store braclets and bangles?? I have a TON!!
Great question! I found a few DIY solutions with some creative Googling:

Multiple paper towel holders are one of the most practical options. Can I suggest reenforcing the tubes with a coat or two of papier mache?

Photo found via Pinterest pinned from Decoratrix. I could not find an original source though.
Glass beer and pop bottles are probably your most economical option.

Vertical paper towel holders can be found in all manner o materials in just about every thrift shoppe.
A couple pre-made options:

This one holds an amazing amount of bangles and comes in a few finishes. I think for $34.99 it is reasonably priced if you can use it to store most to all of your collection.

This is another option from amazon, it holds significantly less but at $13.33 it is also significantly cheaper. If you have the dresser top space you could use a couple of these to store your collection.
Searching for paper towel holder on Amazon will get you thousands of price points and designs.
I hope that helps you get started! Stay organized, Melissa

Hair Bows Wreath : The Simple Craft Diaries
I know I say a lot o things are brilliant, but this really is. It is a wire wreath frame. That is it. Now add your hair clips. Done. And stylish. I mean what little girl’s room would not look even better with this in it?
christyy asked:
I have jewellery and other random things (like body sprays, hair ties, makeup, etc.) cluttering my dresser top right now. Do you have any cute ideas for organizing and displaying everything? I also have a mirror hung over it with lots of wall space. thanks, and keep up the awesome work on here! (:
Thanks for the great question Christyy, at first I wasn’t sure how to answer this question because the terms I was searching by were coming up bupkiss. Then today it occurred to me that you need to compartmentalize your trinkets and sprays and with that it was super easy!
First off can I tell you how lucky you are that you have lots of wall space above your dresser and around your mirror. You can do things like:

Hang a series of painted drawers perfect for holding jewelry, body sprays and hair things. Source

Or keep it simple with a single drawer organizer tray painted to match your room. Source

As-easy-as-it-gets-hooks can hold near every kind of accessory you have if you look around or the right ones. (I managed to lose the source of this photo, does anyone know it’s origin?)
Now that we have covered the walls, lets check out some nifty dresser top ideas:

You could pick up a couple lampshades from the thrift shop and fashion them into bowls for your hair do-dads. Source

If you sew you could make yourself a couple fabric caddies for your sprays and cosmetics. Source

I have had a love affair with these tins since January. You could easily fashion up some couture ones of your own for your make up brushes. Source

Last but not least, you could raid your mom’s china stash for the perfect little dishes for your hair bits, and make up etc. Source
Also worth checking out are my jewelry storage, accessories storage and make up storage tags.
I hope this post helped you clear some of that clutter! Thanks for asking such a great question and please, don’t forget to share pictures when you are done! Cheers,M.
diy project: jewelry bust | Design*Sponge
I have seen this one around the net for awhile, I think even over at Martha but I am smitten with it today.
I first want to say I LOVE your blog! It has been more than helpful on many many MANY occasions! And now I have a question for you (: I have belts. Lots and lots of belts of all shapes and sizes and I have absolutely no place to put them that is convenient when I am trying to get ready. Right now I have them shoved into a box and it’s just bleh. Do you have any suggestions to help me store my belts???? Thanks for your awesome blog! (:
Well thank you so much for the sweet words! And, great question! At first I thought the options were limited but in fact I found a few great ideas!

I really like this how to from Martha Stewart, bonus if you are hanging it on a rod because then you can make it double sided. Also, Martha points out that by using matching wooden hangers you can keep your closet coordinated. But you coud also do what I do and just saunter down to your local charity shop and pick up some wooden hangers for pennies.

If you need a bigger hanger for a plethora of belts you could always adapt the Martha tutorial like Faith of DIgenY did. Just add more hangers as your belt collection increases.

There is always the clear shoe organizer just like this little bit of organization found at Charmseed Studios. Good for everything from shoes to Barbie dolls! If you fit two belts to a pocket you could store up to 48 belts!

This is perhaps my favourite option, and I think would work for you since you already keep them in a box. Add cubbies to your drawer or box with one of these drawer organizers for a sleek and organized look. Also, even if you have to tuck away your belts, you can still see a lot (min 16) at once.

This is perhaps the most fun option! An old rake head is perfect for holding belts, ties and scarves. I even asked hubby for one and he told me fat chance and to go find my own! But your local thrift shops or flea market might have a few!
All these options make me want to expand my very minimal belt collection. I hope they inspired you to find a solution that works for you! Pease do share pictures of your project! Cheers,M.
Soda bottle boot supporters via Real Simple
I love this idea. I have been trying to figure out a good boot filler (That is not cardboard) and the plastic bags I am using suck. I’ll be putting this one to work soon.
