Get every inch you can out of cupboards by hanging a shoe organizer inside a cabinet door. The link will take you to a tutorial at The Complete Guide To Imperfect Homemaking on how to make one out of vapour barrier (plastic sheeting used in house building) but if you are lucky, you’ll have a dollar store that sells the clear pockets and you can cut it up without feeling guilty.

When you haven’t a yarn bowl, a tea pot will do in a pinch!

Very pretty and very organized craft suitcase from Amy Powers. I think is a viable option for budding crafters or artists in small spaces. The magnetic bead containers in the lid I think are key.

Use the (almost always) unused storage space at the top of a closet or rolls of paper.

“I had some wasted ceiling space in a closet as well as a need to organize wrapping paper, so I put together this storage solution. It’s only 4 anchors and screws and some galvanized wire. Before this, I had tried 3M decorating clips and thread, but it wasn’t strong enough to hold this much weight. “

This is a gorgeous craft closet. I only wish that was all the fabric I had to store. (Not really, but I wouldn’t be able to fit even one of my bins.)  I wonder, does this mean I need to pare down my fabric stash?
