Pretty Hidden Storage Books : Sewing Barefoot

This is a great way to use pretty old books that are destined to be recycled and those wooden clementine crates that are hard to reuse. I also think this is a lovely option for sewing and craft rooms. Not every box needs to be a box. Check out the full how to at Sewing Barefoot.

Add some crocheted lace to an IKEA Lidan storage basket and you have a [taller] DIY version of this lovely basket from La Maison Bleue.

Shutter Necklace Holder: Johnny In A Dress

Wooden clothespins and an old shutter marry to make this great jewelry holder. It works for necklaces, hoop earrings, bangles, bracelets and even rings.

I think it would be brilliant at a craft fair.

Not everyone scrapbooks, or even remembers to print off a fraction of the digital photos we take, but we all collect bits of memorabilia and ephemera.  For those of you that love to pull out the shoe boxes, here is a more streamlined version.
