Tool Box lego Storage : Raisin’ 4
Metal toolboxes with low sided drawers make great Lego storage. Not the cheapest of solutions, but you would be surprised what shows up on Freecycle and message boards (Craigslist, Kijiji etc.).
Lego storage + Table : Our Wee Family
Using plastic drawer cabinets, a four foot board and a few 15x15” Lego building mats this mama made a fantastic Lego station. The table top is removable for floor play as well. Not pictured is a third drawer cabinet that its in the seating area.

Quick, clever and cheap a trifecta of good stuff. The only thing I would add is yarn or fabric trimmed edge, but that’s just me talkin’ ya know?

Check out this amazing piece of DIY! Each of the three levels has its own slide out drawer and sits on a lazy Susan for rotating. The author even takes you through his design process. This project is so inspiring, even if you do not take it to the level that he does.
Turn Old Tires into a Storage Bin via Curbly | DIY Design Community
The most original use for an old tire I have seen yet. This would be extremely simple to make as well. A flat lid with a handle, and some salvaged castors and your old tires have a new lease on life.
Author’s note: A very good cleaning and a couple coats of low VOC paint should make the tires safe for in home use. (I do not recommend bringing them inside without sealing them)
Author’s second note: If you are too scared to use these inside (And I understand completely) I am sure you have toys outside that could be rounded up with one or more of these.

This has to be the most fun cube storage system I have seen yet. Each cube comes with its own design so that robot combinations are plentiful!
I think the possibilities for a DIY version of this are limitless!

Essentially a giant, pocketed drawstring bag used as both play mat and storage. I love it. Very easily DIYable, also making it customizable but if you would like to purchase one from the website they come in two colours and two sizes.
